Al Hilal SFC will be fired up to redeem themselves when they host Shabab Al Ahli in the AFC Champions League (ACL) Elite on Tuesday.
-
Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal suffered a shock defeat on Matchday Three while Shabab Al Ahli are just one of two teams still with a perfect record in the West Zone.
Last week's 3-1 defeat to Qatar's Al Shamal SC was the first Al Hilal have suffered in the League Stage since the AFC Champions League Elite was revamped in 2024/25.
While the four-time Asian champions dominated the ball, they were not only outshot by Al Shamal but were also guilty of poor finishing and will be determined to be at their best on Tuesday.
Shabab Al Ahli will expect nothing less but the UAE side will feel they have the quality to inflict Al Hilal a second successive defeat. While they were not free-scoring in their earlier matches, their efficiency in front of goal and the resoluteness in defence makes them very difficult opponents to contend with.
