A woman from the North East was left shocked by her £666,000 win, with Stephen Mulhern delivering a Halloween treat. The winner, whose name has just been released as Catherine, said it 'honestly felt like a dream', with the County Durham support worker being told the news on Friday.

It was during this week's Global’s Cash Call competition that the TV presenter called the lucky winner. Catherine was in the car on her way to a caravan holiday with her family when the phone rang, and it was the Deal or No Deal presenter.

He said: "Hello! It’s Stephen Mulhern, you have just won £666,000!... £666,000 is going to be in your bank account tonight! I am so over the moon for you!... For some people, Halloween is scary, but for you it’s a dream!"

Catherine was left stunned, and she gave the following response: "Oh my god, you’re joking!... Thank you so much!... It honestly feels like a dream! I feel like I'm going to wake up and it’s not real", and her grandma, also in the car at the time, screamed: "I hope it’s not one of your jokes, Stephen!"

Since it launched last November, Cash Call has crowned four millionaires, with Rachel from London winning the biggest cash prize in radio history earlier this month, which was an incredible total of £1.5 million pounds.

Listeners can win huge life-changing prizes every week with Cash Call, and a celebrity will call one lucky person at 5pm on Friday. Next week, the prize is a huge £600,000, and if you want to be in with a chance of winning, visit the website here.
