Todd Chrisley is sticking up for his daughter, Savannah Chrisley, one week after the reality star announced her engagement and pregnancy to convicted fraudster Jason Galanis.

"There were comments today in the press about Savannah's ring, the size of it, that she is engaged to a billionaire because she's a gold digger," Todd, 57, shared on the October 30 episode of his Two Sons and Me podcast. "It's so crazy that people would say that she's a gold digger when she has her own money."

He added, "What do they think this girl has done her whole life, from the time that the cameras started rolling? What do they think she did with her clothing line, with her cosmetics, that she didn't make money? What do they think about Good Girl RX? How do they think this woman lives?"

The rumors began swirling after Savannah, 29, announced she was engaged to Galanis, 56, on October 27. It was later revealed that the pair quietly tied the knot over the summer.

Galanis — who spent time behind bars in the same prison where Todd was serving his sentence — proposed with a massive diamond ring, which Savannah claimed he "worked his [expletive] off" to be able to afford.

"Well, if she was a gold digger, I mean, it would have helped out if she would have started digging when I was paying all these legal fees," Todd continued.

The Chrisley Knows Best star was serving time behind bars after being found guilty of bank fraud and tax evasion. However, in May 2025, Todd and his wife, Julie Chrisley, were pardoned by President Donald Trump after months of campaigning and lobbying by Savannah, 29.

Galanis' sentence was commuted by Trump, 80, two months prior.

"I've never seen anything but a man who worships the ground my daughter walks on, who is there for every waking moment of her day and her night, who has given her the world, the moon, the stars, and everything around it," Todd said. "And has done so in a respectful and kind way."
