GREENWOOD COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - Greenwood County voters approved the District 50 bond referendum during Tuesday’s election.

Officials said the referendum will allow up to $175 million in general obligation bonds to fund significant facility improvements and capital projects district-wide, with no projected tax increase.

The referendum is designed to address current facility needs, enhance student learning environments, improve safety and transportation, and prepare for future enrollment growth, according to the district. Bond proceeds will support a comprehensive list of projects, including new construction, major renovations and district-wide improvements.
